Most people may not enjoy planks, but they are the best bodyweight exercise for activating muscle groups throughout the body, including the core muscles, glutes, quads, hamstrings, and calves. Overall it’s a multipurpose full-body exercise. A nice cardio finisher. A great warm-up finisher. High plank jacks are a combined cardio and core-strengthening exercise. The exercise helps strengthen the muscles of both the upper and lower body. I see an improvement in my core strength and stability.
