I always keep my travel bag ready to go. As soon as I get home from a trip, I unpack it, refill what I used, and reset it so I’m prepared for the next one. A lot of people have help. I don’t have help at all, so I have to manage everything myself. My calendar, my time, my travel plans, my work, my kids, and my content all have to line up. I have to manage my time down to the minute because if one thing gets missed, the whole plan can unravel. Then things start falling apart, and it gets harder to take care of yourself and keep going.
Sometimes I feel like I’m running a whole corporation by myself. It’s not easy. I feel like only one out of ten people might make it through this kind of journey without support. I may be the exception, but I believe you can be one too if you really want it and keep finding a way forward.
You don’t have to give up on your dreams or your travels just because you’re doing it without a village. It’s hard, but you can triumph. ✨
