My general rule of thumb is to queue up my workout playlist ~ 30 min before a workout 🏋🏾♀️ session. My energy and mood spike tremendously, allowing me to blaze through each session.
A high-energy music Playlist requires curated songs with a tempo between 120 bpm and 145 bpm which means I am less likely to skip a workout when I’m unmotivated. Songs with a tempo higher than 145 bpm do not add much more motivation. So long as the best is at the right pace, we are dialed in. An ex: of a song @120 bpm is Britney Spears’ “Work B**ch.”). {womenshealthmag}
